Arizona Balalaika Orchestra Slavic Winter Concert

Arizona Balalaika Orchestra presents an exciting and unique concert of Slavic music and dance, featuring the Lajkonic Polish Folk Ensemble dancers, as well as guest soloists and singers
The Arizona Balalaika Orchestra, now in its 43rd year, presents its Slavic Winter Concert, featuring music and dance of Ukraine, Poland, Russia, and other Slavic countries. They will be joined by the Lajkonic Polish Folk Ensemble, performing dynamic Polish dances and the classic Ukrainian “Hopak”.
Guest performers will include Michael Markowitz and Chris Wald-Hopkins playing Scott Joplin’s ragtime “Easy Winners,” and Dan Nicolini performing a Romanian Song and Czardas on the balalaika. Noted operatic tenor and former UA voice professor Grayson Hirst will perform the classic Nelson Eddy song “At the Balalaika.”
The concert will be a unique, exciting, and amusing family-friendly show. Tickets are $15, available only at the door, so please arrive early!
