The Puerta-Vázquez Duo, with José Luis Puerta and Alfredo Vazquez, present music from their debut album Appunti (Contrastes Records, Seville, Spain). The album is a monographic work of some of the guitar duos by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. The album includes pieces dedicated to or made famous by Duo Presti Lagoya, “Sonatina Canonica”, and “Fuga Elegiaca.”
Ticket price is $10. Online sales are from the University of Arizona School of Fine Arts, which uses Ticketmaster for on-line sales: on Ticketmaster the event is labeled FAS:Puerta, and processing fees are charged. Tickets may be purchased directly from the Centennial Hall Box office, which is open 12-6 Tuesday-Saturday, and there are no add-on fees when one purchases in person. Stopping on the street in front of the Box Office to buy your ticket is permitted. Tickets are also available in the lobby before the performance. The hall is open seating, with no reserved seats.
