Photography Basics

Whether you’re using a cell phone or a professional camera, the basics of photography are the same.

Things like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO can strike fear in those just starting out, so we’ll define them in basic terms and discuss when, why, and how to use them. We’ll start our learning in the classroom, go outside to explore the park to try out what we’ve learned, and finally review our pictures and discuss what worked well for us. If you have a camera, bring it. Point-and-shoot digital cameras will be available to borrow if needed. Cost: $10 fee. Online registration required
