Sergio and Clarice Assad in Concert November 11 and 12, Tucson, AZ

Grammy Award winning guitarist Sergio Assad teams up with daughter Clarice, a vocalist, pianist and composer for an exciting duo concert in the intimate 200 seat Holsclaw Hall on the UA campus.

“Magical . . . spellbinding, an exquisite blend of Jazz, Chôro, Bossa Nova and Classical . . . an ‘homage’ to the musical legacy of their family,” Clarice and Sérgio Assad share their passion for music composition and performance, together reimagining old classics and writing new works as a collaborative team. The family essence is ever-present, wrapped in the warmth and intricacies of ancestry and connection. Sergio has several Grammy’s to his credit, Clarice has been nominated, and their recent CD Architypes was nominated twice. A not-to-be-missed duo!
Tickets are available from the Tucson Guitar Society for $35 ($30 for members), with no processing fees for on-line or for telephone sales. Student and general admisssion tickets are both available from the UA Centennial Hall Box Office. Student tickets are $10, also available at the door. Parking is available in the Park Ave. garage just north of Speedway. From the garage there is a pedestrian underpass of Speedway that leads to Holsclaw Hall.
