The Mourning Project: Infant Loss Made Visible

A memorial. A community art project. A call to action. TMP has collected 20,000+ pairs of handmade baby booties–a little elegy for each American baby lost before their first birthday every year.
The Mourning Project lies at the intersection of art and public health. See the very first installation of all 20,000+ pairs of baby booties. Meet the makers. Learn about how the US has the worst infant mortality rate in the developed world, and what we can do to improve the lives of babies and loss families.
