Tucson Unified School District Governing Board Candidate Forum

The League of Women Voters of Greater Tucson and the YWCA of Southern Arizona are co-sponsoring a Candidate Forum for candidates running for the TUSD Governing Board
The Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is the largest school district in southern Arizona. It serves 47,000 students in 89 schools and programs. Its operating budget for Fiscal Year 22 was over $665 million and the operating budget for Fiscal Year 23 is over $808 million.
TUSD is responsible for the education of our children, grandchildren and the children of our neighbors, friends, and community. The decisions it makes and how it is governed affect everyone.
That makes the people who sit on the five member TUSD Governing Board very important! Two of the five positions will be vacant in 2023 and need to be filled. The candidates will be elected on November 8th.
