Come explore the fascinating world of natural history at the International Wildlife Museum! Located five miles west of I-10 on Speedway, the building is a replica of an ancient French Foreign Legion fort located in Chad, Africa.
The museum contains more than 400 species of mammals, insects, and birds from around the globe, depicted in natural and realistic settings. Some of these impressive collections are over 100 years old.
Hands-on exhibits and interactive computers encourage fun and learning for all ages. The 100-seat, state-of-the-art theater screens wildlife films on the hour. The Oasis Grill is open for dining 10am-3pm Monday through Friday.
The museum offers naturalist-led guided tours, summer camp sessions, live animal outreach programs, kid’s birthday parties, Member Nights, a monthly lecture series and classes on a variety of natural history subjects.
