Take a stroll through a 5-1/2 acre collection of 17 specialty gardens including Nuestro Jardin (Barrio Garden), Children’s Discovery Garden, a Xeriscape Garden and much more. This beautiful oasis in the middle of the city was originally the home of Bernice and Rutger Porter. Dating to the 1920s, the earliest buildings on the property were constructed of adobe bricks made right on site. True to the vision of Mrs. Porter, Tucson Botanical Gardens is a place of beauty, inspiration and education about the natural world. The Gardens supports the arts through its rotating exhibits in the Porter Hall Gallery and features a seasonal, live tropical butterfly exhibit, Butterfly Magic (October – April). Garden tours, specialty classes and programs are offered year-round.
The Garden Gift Shop featuring eclectic local and regional, garden-inspired items for all ages. Have lunch on our lovely outdoor patios at The Birdhouse Cafe featuring Acacia. Hold your meeting, wedding or special event at the Gardens.
