The Pima County Sheriff’s Posse is a Non Profit all-Volunteer Mounted unit founded in 1946.

Our goal is to keep alive the Cowboy tradition of the Southwest and to educate the public about the joys and fascination of Southern Arizona’s outdoors on foot and on horseback.

The Posse contributes its time and services to community projects as well as trail riding events for charities.

The Posse participates in several Parades each year including the Tucson Rodeo Parade, the Green Valley Parade, the Tombstone Parade as well as the El Paso Parade and others.

To help raise funds a monthly Gymkhana is conducted. This event is geared toward families, giving adults and children of all ages the opportunity to participate in horseback events and games.

If you are interested in becoming a Posse Member and you want to give back to your community while enjoying the great outdoors by horseback (or mule) —

 —When

Due to circumstances, sometimes, we have little to no control over the dates and times for the gymkhana. Periodically they might change. Take a look at last year!!! The COVID problem is a good example (right??).

We will be having late afternoon / early evening gymkhanas as soon as we can.

Since Brandi Fenton Park is in a residential area, we HAVE to be shut down buy 9:30PM.

As of now ALL of the gymkhanas will be held on the fourth Saturday of the month. The following is the intended schedule:
